“I grew up in a home where personal rights were valued and the rights of others were important. My mother always emphasized the importance of women having the same opportunities to do the same work as men. In college, I was most inspired by my professors who actually participated in the civil rights movement. It was only natural then for me to go to law school in hopes of making my living advocating for the rights of others.

After 10 years of litigation, I decided it was time to change the focus of my legal practice to guiding employers to understand the rights of their employees. This way, employers will stay in compliance with the law; employees rights will be respected; and, I could stay true to what has always motivated me – advocating for the rights of others.

Hence the creation of Johnson Employment Law – my own firm devoted to counseling, training, and investigations – all in an effort to protect the rights of California employees.”
